Michael Allen Harrison’s musical talents were discovered at the age of 6 when his parents enrolled him in piano lessons as a step toward bringing him out of his shell. His natural talent impressed teachers and professors alike as he moved through the school years and emerged ready to launch his career on his Steinway keyboard.
Michael’s noteworthy philanthropy outreach in the “City of Roses” has left its mark. As an activist to an initiative he calls “Bring Back the Music”, Michael launched “Ten Grands” and The Snowman Foundation in 2000. “Ten Grands” is the main platform where Michael and 9 other pianists perform together on ten pianos to benefit The Snowman Foundation. The foundation supports schools where music has been eliminated due to budget cuts and provides instruments and scholarships for kids in need. In addition, Michael has released over 20 Benefit CD’s in his continued support of the community.
Today Michael Allen Harrison is not only a much sought after producer, composer and arranger but, known in Oregon as a concert pianist who has been on the scene as a performer for over two decades. Whether performing before world greats or for an audience of one, Michael Allen Harrison can be relied upon for a top flight performance.
