Anna Song began her career at KATU working as an intern. She began reporting in 1999 and is now an anchor for KATU’s weekend evening newscasts and reports during the week as part of KATU’s On Your Side Investigative Team. She has been recognized as one of the best broadcast journalists in the region being an eight-time Emmy award nominee and winning the 2007 Emmy for Human Interest News Stories. She also won the 2007 Regional Edward R. Murrow award for Investigative Reporting. It was her extensive coverage of a case in 2002 that helped lead KATU to a Regional Murrow Award for Continuing Coverage.
 

Anna was born in Taiwan and came to the US with her family when she was 2 years old. She grew up in NE Portland and attended Parkrose High School. She graduated from Pepperdine University with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and International Business. Anna values her time with family and friends. She’s an avid motivational speaker and is available for schools and community groups.  The Assistance League is proud to say that Anna is an active member of our advisory board.
